Wing of Fire: The Dragonet Prophecy (audiobook)
by Tui T. Sutherland

I highly reccomend this series. Granted, there is good but if violence in there which leads me to believe you should probably be a teen before you sit down to read it. I really enjoyed this book. The reader of the audio version did a very good job with voices and pacing. I highly reccomend to lovers of fantasy and dragons. This is one of few dragon series I have read and found well done.

One of us is next
by Karen M. Mcmanus

Amazing sequel to "One of Ua is Lying"! I thoroughly enjoyed this twisted little book. A mystery (involving murder but not sparked by), One of Us is Next ia a thrilling book that had me at the edge of my seat. Karen is an amazing YA author of mystery, giving intricate details spread around a plot that is fast paced and always turning. I would reccomend for anyone in search of a good thriller, mystery or murder mystery.

Perils and Lace
by Gayle Leeson

Book two in Leeson's "Ghostly Fashionista" series is set in Abingdon, VA and follows the adventures of retro fashion designer Amanda Tucker. Along with her sidekick, the fast-talking ghost of a former flapper, Amanda searches for clues and finds love in this charming historic town. This light-hearted romp is perfect for our stressful times.

The complete mediterranean cookbook
by America's test kitchen

The recipes all look delicious. I have to say, I will definitely try to make some. The occasional pictures always look very appetizing. Theres instructions throughout on various small feats that will need to be accomplished. I like the organization of the book.

The End of October
by Lawrence Wright

This book was written pre-COVID-19, and it is eerily accurate. A deadly pandemic spreads across the globe and our infrastructure starts to break down. Sound familiar? Some of the plot points diverge from our current situation, but I could not put this one down.

Farmer Boy
by Laura Ingalls Wilder

This book was different from the other books. Instead of being in Laura's POV, the POV was from her husband. It was interesting to see what a boy around 9 would be able to do back then.

Dog Man
by Dave Pilkey

Love these books!

Kent State
by Deborah Wiles

This YA novel explores the Kent State protests and the wounding and killing of several students by the National Guard. The narrative is explored by several points of view (in different fonts to make it easy to distinguish). Short but powerful, this book is eerily timely.

Virals (audiobook)
by Kathy Reichs

The audiobook did have annoying sequences involving noises or music. Other than that, the reader did very well and it was a satisfying story. Honestly I never expected the outcome that it ended with but I do like it and plan to read the next. Virals is the first book in a series, and a good mystery to start the whole thing off. I cant wait to get to the second book and find out what comes next for this gaggle of friends.

A pictoral approach: the Anatomy of the Horse
by Way and Lee

Now, this book is definitely older as it was published in 1983 or so, but I do wish the sketched were colored. Filled to the brim with graphite sketches, the anatomy of the horse explores the inside of a horse. Skeletal, vernacular, and muscular as well as from several angles each, every piece of a horse's body is examined. I did end up enjoying this book however. I reccomend it for anyone that enjoys learning about the inside workings of a horse.
